Defence – Unique Projects

Project Summary:
Many of the Defence projects we have worked on have been quite unique, presenting risks and challenges that are not ordinary encountered on regular projects including missile test facilities, extremely remote locations, explosives storage, combat training simulation buildings and heritage restrictions.
The standard BCA and DDA Accessibility requirements do not always apply appropriately to these scenarios, but through our experience and knowledge of the Defence Manuals, we have developed tested compliance approaches to address these areas and provide for safe and equitable outcomes. For our clients, this means clear compliance direction from early in the project to reduce potential delays caused by unexpected compliance issues.
Defence Estate Works Program

Project Summary:
The Defence Estate Works program focuses on upgrading existing Defence buildings to meet compliance with current BCA, DDA Accessibility, and Defence Manual of Fire Protection Engineering requirements. Our involvement has included works at RAAF Richmond, RAAF Williamstown, HMAS Creswell, HMAS Albatross, Holsworthy Barracks, Lone Pine Barracks, Spectacle Island, Longreach QLD and many more. With over 50 developments under our belt throughout Australia, MSA has a firm understanding of the program’s goals, ensuring all documentation and assessments align with the needs of Defence.
